From 1990 to 1999, he trains at Insep and is part of the France team with David Douillet and Larbi Benboudaoud. He wins medals in many tournaments but he doesn't succeed to obtrude himself in 1997 European Judo Championships in the category of 86kg (middleweight). In 1998, change of weight class constrain him to down in - 81kg, category of Djamel Bouras. He ended his career in 1999.
